When Imam Nawawi Rahimahullah found himself in the midst of arabs during the course of his studies,he quickly gave up and wondered how he could learn being an asian tribe. He planned to leave the school overnight to avoid shame. He left at the wee hrs of the day,he reached an outskirts of the town when he heard the call of the dawn prayer. He stopped by to offer it. He walked down to a well to fetch water,he noticed something on the wall of the well while drawing water from the well;a deep cut by the rope of which has always been used to fetch water and he wonder how hard the stone is and how little a rope is,how the latter cut the former by the day despite its hardness. He thought,it is perseverance and hardwork that results to this. He fetched the water,offered the prayer and return to the school to study telling his mind if a rope could leave a deep cut on a stone,while should i be scared of trying hard to get my tongue be used to arabic. Imam Nawawi is among the notable schoolars of his time and our time. He is the author of the famous 40 hadith. May we live to persevere and never give up in the search for truth.
