When Leo and I were in Italy for 2 months in 1988. We went to the airport and we were waiting for an aunt to arrive. I needed go to the ladies room and Leo states to me when I came out...."I think the nun that does good deeds just walked by..." I say MOTHER TERESA Leo? and he says... yeah I think so...? Really? I say to him "and your still standing here ? so off I go to find her and low and behold there she stand.. looking just like we all remember in the religion books. Sunglasses on.. her sweater zipped up and the sandals on her feet. She was tiny and leaning on a metal pole all by herself. I was beside myself and became speechless. I said MOTHER TERESA? she leaned her hand down looking over her glasses and says" yes". I was about to faint. I thought I was in a dream. Leo, his mom, his aunt and myself were blessed to meet Mother Teresa of CALCUTTA. She gave us medals with her face on them. We all kissed her ring and doing so she placed her hand over my head and prayed over me. She took a picture with us and gave us little bottles of holy water. Crazy as it sounds we waited with her while she waited for her priest friend to arrive and take her to see the "HOLY FATHER" are you all with me.......POPE JOHN PAUL!!!!! We have been touched by a SAINT! She was amazing to speak to...very normal everyday conversation. We spoke for about 5 minuets. I always tell Leo no matter what challenges life gives us he and I will always pull through... Life has beautiful moments.. we just have to remember and be grateful...Thanks Leo for paying attention to that chapter in religion class! I just thought I would share to those that never heard that story our most cherished memory.
