When Monique Craig, a single mother of three, reached out to my office, she was several hundred dollars behind on her heating bill and just a few days away from getting her power shut off. Her Social Security Disability benefits were stuck in a bureaucratic mess, and she felt like she had nowhere to turn. Im so glad she reached out to my office. My staff geared up and we not only helped get her Social Security straightened out, but helped Monique access a home energy assistance grant so she could pay her utilities bill.
