When Mr. Mahama was here in Tamale a few months ago to cut sod for - TopicsExpress

When Mr. Mahama was here in Tamale a few months ago to cut sod for the upgrading of the Tamale airport in to the so called international airport, one of the reasons he gave for the upgrading was to enable farmers within the three Northern Region to import food to the outside world, meanwhile YOU and I know that in spite of the 75% of the Ghanaian people who are farmers, we have not been able to produce food to feed ourselves as a nation not to talk of importing it to the outside world. So what was the President talking about when he said the airport will enable farmers within the three northern region to import food? Or was he, as usual blindfolded or deceived by his sycophants that northern farmers are now importing food? Most roads in the three northern regions including roads that leads to farms are so deteriorated in a manner that farmers finds it difficult to bring their farm produce home after harvesting as a result, most of their farm produce left to go waste. So if farmers are unable to bring their farm produce home as a result of bad roads how then would they import food to the outside world through the so called international airport? Iam not against an international airport been sited in the north but I think there were more pressing issues that the money should have been channeled to. Thus, construction of good roads that leads to farms to enable farmers to bring their farm produce home without difficulty. Educating farmers to adopt modern way of farming and encourage them to go in to large scale farming through giving them loans with low interest to enable them produce enough quantity of food to feed the nation and if possible for importation. Now to those of you who sees Abu Ramadan comments as insult to the northern people and calling him all manner of names, where were you when that togolese call Fiifi Kwetey insulted northerners and Moslems? Hypocrites!
