When Museveni came to power in 1986 he claimed he came to power over the dead bodies of Ugandans to fight dictatorship and life presidency. 5 year earlier he had claimed election rigging by his adversary Dr.Obote to justify his war in Luwero. He went on to proclaim to great applause that the problem of Africa was leaders who refuse to step down from power. 28 years later he had become that which he once abhorred. Power has become a refuge where he continues to hide out of the fear of obsolescence. Drew Ddembe It is sad that young people who were barely 8 years when Museveni came to power can feel this disappointed in a man who promised so much and has delivered the reverse of what he promised. Museveni even duped US President Bill Clinton the later crowning him a member of The New Breed of African Leaders with his think alike PaulKagame, Zenawi,many of whom by design are trying to tinker with their national constitutions to over stay their welcome. Then South Africas Mbeki was cooking up NEPAD during which he coined the African Renaissance sound byte before ANC rebooted his office. The Amama Mbabazis were turned into support staff. The Tumukunde Henry were turned into support staff. To Museveni, everyone unlike himself and family is support staff in his political business enterprise called Uganda Ltd. NTV Uganda please tell the people of Uganda that Museveni now a resident at State House Uganda for donkey years has disappointed many people who viewed him in high regard. Now gradually, he looks every inch an ordinary African man who has always been vulnerable to power. Even Tamale Mirundi and Namayanja Rose Nsereko gave up their old political beliefs whatever they were to join in the merry making since Museveni told them he is not going anywhere. Now he has more support staff in Frank K Tumwebaze, Rwakakamba Morrison, Duncan AbigabaMatthew Bagonza Muhoozi Kainerugaba to keep these running in circles with a few spoons of glucose until their services are no longer needed. I do not join people because am losing time. I join them on principle. It dont matter if I remain alone as long as am convinced the fuel to the crowd is just food and materialism to perpetuate injustice albeit as hostages. Namayanja Rose Nsereko like Sam Kuteesa, Kisamba Mugerwa, Museveni,Specioza Kazibwe were all DP. Museveni was also UPC at some point. He was also UPM, he was in FRONASA, NRM, then NRM-0 whatever that means. This political hoping could have been an indicator of a man looking for a door to enter and never come out without a fight.
