When Police Drew Their Guns At Me Attorney Anthony Gray for Mike Brown family says Mike had his hands in the air and exclaimed, Dont shoot! when that rogue cop (all cops are rogue for reasons which shall be explained in another post) pumped bullets into him. I am reminded of when a few months ago I visited an old friend who lived in a ghetto gang neighborhood. A squad car was parked directly in front but across the street when I got out of my car to walk to his crib. A police officer approached me with his gun pointed directly at me. He ordered me to put my hands on the trunk of my car which I did. I responded with, I will not resist but you do not have my consent to search my person or my vehicle. He and his partner searched me regardless and questioned me. Afterwards they turned out to be very friendly and set me free. People tend to be friendly with me. Maybe it was how I carried myself. However the point is that I was able to walk away from this confrontation with police. The young 18-yr old Mike Brown was not given that chance despite possibly having committed a crime prior to this confrontation.
