When Reynolds Buick relocated from downtown Covina in 1964, their new car lot was still on Citrus, but was within the West Covina city limits. Yet, the businesses directly across the street were in Covina! Here’s a couple of photos taken in 1968 on that “new” Reynolds lot. As cool as the car is, what really struck me was the buildings seen in the background. Notice the old Firebird restaurant to the rear-right of the photo. And, in the other photo, there is a glimpse of the International House of Pancakes, in its original color scheme.
