Highland Ave., Milwaukee Map On the morning of September 21, a "Public Education is a Civil Right" march and rally will be sponsored by a huge coalition of groups. Assemble at 10:30 am at the High School of the Arts and go south across the 16th St. viaduct to Forest Home Avenue School, 1516 W. Forest Home Ave. for a rally at 1 pm. Theme: Public Education is a Civil Right. We need to stand up for our public schools now more than ever! We demand the following because all of our children deserve a world-class public education! • Fully fund public schools • Keep a strong taxpayer voice in school governance • Stop privatization of public education • Hold voucher schools accountable • Require quality physical infrastructure for all schools There will be parking at South Division HS, adjacent to Forest Home School and shuttle buses taking people to HS of the Arts. Or, you can park at HS of the Arts and get a shuttle bus back to your car. For those not interested or able in doing the 3 mile march, shuttle buses are available, including for those only marching part of the way.
