When Sonja woke up this morning, the first thing she said in her sleepy voice was “I think that Papa Doug and Papa John are the nicest grandpas in the world. Papa Doug wasn’t feeling good when he asked us if we wanted to go fishing, and he would have gone with us even though he was sick if we’d wanted to. And when I was really little, Papa John ripped his jeans and hurt his knee when he tripped while carrying me at the zoo so I wouldn’t get hurt.” She must have been dreaming of grandpas this morning. =) And I wholeheartedly agree with her assessment.
