When The International was announced, I didnt even plan on attending for the same reasons I didnt attend the previous editions. However, there were rumors of BurNIng and LaNm wishing to retire after the event. Because of this, I wanted to overcome my fears in order to attend this years event and meet these legends. I didnt know that rOtk wanted to retire. I barely talked to him during the event as I dont like talking to players especially when the language barrier is an issue. However, after they lost to Newbee in the grand-finals, he was really down so I decided to tell him a few words. I told him that he should be proud of what he has accomplished as a captain of the team and that even himself didnt expect this result. I didnt want to bother him more so I walked away and told him to hold his head high. A few seconds later, I had his hand on my shoulder and he said Are you Mali? I said yes and he gave me his card, a card that gives you an autograph in the game, and said Thank you. After that, he spent some time with his fans who were chanting his name for a good two minutes. I will probably never forget this moment. He was almost crying. I dont want to imagine how difficult this decision was for him... He was certainly not the best offlaner in the world, but his outstanding leadership and intelligence made him one of the best players in the world. This is a huge loss for Vici Gaming, but also for the scene. It will take a while before we find his successor.
