When There is No King “In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.” (Judges 21:25 KJV)The darkest days of Israel were when it was without a king. Although God was the ultimate King, the people were masters and rulers over themselves, doing whatever seemed right in their eyes. We find when there is not a reigning government over a people, all manner of evil takes place. The darkest times of our lives are when we are bent on following our own way while choosing not to submit to God and make Him Lord. Scripture tells us, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is death (Proverbs 14:12)”. Rather than making decisions on our own, we must learn to prayerfully seek the Lord in everything. Let Him be King and Lord! Our own way leads to death and destruction. His way leads to a blessed life, peace, and the true desires of our heart manifested! Prayer: Father, I not only know that You are real and that You are God, I acknowledge that You are my King. Be my Master and Lord. Reign in my life and in my heart. I yield completely to You and put my trust in You! In Jesus name, Amen.
