When Youve Seen God At His Best: Four years ago when I started Gods Gift Angels Without Wings Serving People Without Walls Homeless Food Program, I met this guy named Mike. Mike was one of the first people that I fed. He was a Meth Addict and lived under some construction debris behind the Home Depot here in town. I fed Mike for two years. One Saturday when I went to feed him he was gone. Today when I was on my normal route feeding the homeless on the rail trail here in town, I parked behind the Taco Bell. When I arrived, I noticed a tow truck. My first thought was , dont park here you might be towed and my second thought was take a chance and park here anyway. So I decided to go ahead and park to go feed the homeless. On my first stop I went around a corner behind a bush where some of the homeless guys sit. When I got there to my surprise I saw Mike! I go Hey! Where have you been? I havent seen you in years. Here is his reply: Well sister, a few years ago, someone stole my bicycle, it was the only material thing I had left in my life. I had lost it all. So that night, I prayed to God to bless me with another bike. Then I decided to go to Church that Sunday. That Sunday, when I was visiting that Church, the Pastor said, Today, we are going to put religion aside so that the Holy Spirt can come into this Church. If you came here today expecting something, you are going to receive it. He said it was at that moment, when I stood up in that Church and I said, Lord, I am going to pass on that blessing of a bicycle, Lord please bless me with a Job. He said that that was the start of his journey to recovery. He went on and on praising God right there behind that bush. He said that he had been in rehab and that when he got out, he went looking for a job. He said, he went to Stiez towing to apply for a job, and the guy told him to go and pull his DMV records. When he got back to Stiez the guy was not there so he left. He went home and was going to go back and he said the Devil told him, dont go back, you aint going to get that job anyway. He said and then God stepped in and said dont dont listen to that old mean Devil, you go and get that Job. He said and I got the Job! So I said wow that is awesome, you lost your bike and he gave you keys to a truck that you are being paid to drive. He said yes, and it is a job where I get to help people in need. I said so what are you doing back here? He said sister, I am sowing seeds because you reap what you sow. Sister, these people have been fed! He had the biggest smile on his face when he said that. I said, Mike you have made me so happy! He said sister, I want to thank you, for what you did for me. When I was down and had nothing, the one thing I could count on was that you were going to come and feed me. And sister, I love you for that. You fed me and bought me shoes when I had none. He said, I am out here trying to tell them that God does here prayers. Ok at that moment I began to cry because, at that moment, I knew I had seen God At His Best! When you see a long lost sinner dead in all his sin, when you see him praising Jesus and you see him born agan! Then, you have seen God At His Best! God Bless You Mike. Keep on blessing. Praise God!
