When a Picture is Worth a Thousand Words… Ah, who thinks cat - TopicsExpress

When a Picture is Worth a Thousand Words… Ah, who thinks cat rescue folks don’t have a sense of humor? :) And when the neighbors don’t want your help because THEIR cat is already neutered, and you are just sure that is not true, well… that picture really IS worth a thousand words. Harry has been a visitor at this trapper’s feeding site for a few months now – elusive, visible only by a trail cam set to catch those new visitors. But since the neighbors INSISTED he was neutered, he has not been trapped. How much fun was it to have him show up on camera last night, in full display… yes, Harry will be taking a little snip trip :) The trapper isn’t even sure she will present the proof to discuss – after all, if Harry is already neutered, how could there be any problem if he is gone a day and returns…neutered! Ha! Yes, sometimes trapping is a lot of fun! For those who might argue that no one has the right to neuter someone else’s cat, we disagree. If your cat is free roaming, YOU are responsible for everything that happens to him. He can be eaten by predators, run over by cars, get into poisons, be trapped and taken to a shelter – or worse, dumped; he will be exposed to disease and injury, and expose other cats to the same. If the worst thing that happens to your free roaming cat is he is trapped, altered, ear tipped and returned to his home – you really should not be complaining. What you do on your own property is of course your choice (please choose to alter your cat!), but once he leaves your property, you no longer have a choice. For more thoughts on this, see our previous posts on Catios! :) Final word – get a trail cam :) You just never know what you are going to see…
