When a Tibetan dies, his body is left to be eaten by falcons. It is known as a Sky Burial. The person is taken by the falcons back to the sky where every soul comes belongs. When a nomad dies, be it a Mongol, Kazakh, Kyrgyz or Turkman: his body is left to be eaten by wolves. It is their version of a Sky Burial, as wolves are mystical creatures whose soul belongs to the sky and will occasionally fly to return the pieces of the dead back to the sky. Whats not to love about Central Asian people?
