When a boy suffers rejection at the hands of those he loves the most and he fails to get victory over the rejection he will grow into a man that will feel easily rejected. He might be very successful at work or in athletics, but with those he loves the most, his own family, particularly his wife, he will be guarded unable to give his whole heart to her because of his fear of rejection. If his wife felt unloved as a girl and struggles with receiving his love her struggling to receive his love can make him feel rejected. Typically he will withdraw feeling rejected and that in turn will solidify to her that he does not love her. Both husband and wife will feel offended and unloved and will look at each other as the problem. But, truthfully both of them are carrying an infected wound from their childhood and they each need to confront that before they will be able to successfully deal with their marital problems. - Pastor Philip Fortenberry
