When a nation becomes engulfed in spiritual darkness, it catalyzes - TopicsExpress

When a nation becomes engulfed in spiritual darkness, it catalyzes the accentuation of the removal of distractions from the morally opulent who become sensitized to the imperativeness of the task of spiritually illuminating society once again! Ours is a nation where the essential had been rendered as an adjunct to the accidental twist, where the latter superintends the former! INEC under professor Jega has just conducted an election in Anambra state! APGA was declared winner. This was after the run up in some local government areas on November 30Th. Anambra is a very unique state. Itpeople are about the most cerebral in the country. A very progressive, industrious, enlightened, gregarious, and financially solvent people. There is hardly any part of the state that will take one hour to get to from Akwa, the state capital. Jega and at least twenty commissioners of INEC were in the state to conduct the election. One million seven hundred persons were registered in the state for the election. Only four hundred were accredited to vote, less than a quarter of those registered! The PDP candidate and the father could not vote because their names could not be found in the register. Jega admitted that his staff had been compromised, yet rejected the fact that the integrity of the process was compromised. Resources were further dissipated to achieve a predetermined outcome . That Jega and his principal staff need to be weaned from the vainness of cupidity and decimating haughtiness is indubitable. Jega presided over an election that was conceived in a spirit of duplicity and under an ambiance of perfidy. The outcome was therefore predictable! If Jega has problem with Anambra that is so sophisticated and political matured, one can make some prognostication, with some degree of certainty, that conducting the 2015 election by these men who are monumentally insolvent in character, will be a fiasco! How do you tell a man who contested an election, but could not vote because the umpire elected to consign integrity into desueatude. Jegas action in the Anambra election renders as mere peccadillo the military take over of a truly democratically elected government! Providence gave Jega a wonderful platform for introspection and rumination over the emphemerality that characterizes every human activity within the context of mans mundane peregrination. That he does not feel neurotic about the fact that he will ultimately give account of his embassy to his maker, leaves me paralysed! The banality of every mission is crystallized when the metamorphic diffusion of the otiosity of its crusader is mirrored in the axiological flaccidity he precipitates. Would Jega honestly say he has conducted an election in Anambra for which he would submit himself to Gods judgment? We have a long lineage of poorly conducted elections in Nigeria, Jega was a robust hope Nigerians had who was to help destroy this history of tyranny. He failed dismally! With this bastion of hope gone, we now drift hopelessly in all directions, like leaves scattered by the winds! Jega ought to have provoked a difference! He was to make a statement with the Anambra election, but he failed! With the different peoples of the country who have resisted integration, one hundred years of our amalgamation, singing different war songs with respect to 2015 , can Jega be trusted to save our nation? If I were Jega, I will ask that the river Niger be dammed and I be buried under its bed for betraying providence! But Jega is not me and he is willing to lead us to destruction!
