When a news release says someone is leaving the band due to an undisclosed illness and doesnt use words like retire or pursuing other interests, theres room left for speculation, and not the good kind. So the departure of Malcolm Young from AC/DC brings with it a certain sense of dread. He might have been in the background churning out chords while brother Angus ran amok out front -- its hard to find clips where you see him for more than a few seconds -- but dont for a minute discount Malcolms contribution. Those riffs and power chords are the foundation upon which Angus ran wild.
