When a pack of elephants (Parade, if you want to get technical) - TopicsExpress

When a pack of elephants (Parade, if you want to get technical) recognize that an elder member is about to die, they hold a ceremony. They gather around the dying member, they rarely make a sound. Then, after the dying member is recognized by the community, it wonders a distance and dies peacefully, away from the group. After the member of their group passes, the parade then covers the dead member with leaves, dirt and broken tree branches. Parades have been observed staying with the corpse for up to two days. Even if members of the parade leave to get food or water, they return to acknowledge that the member has returned to the Essence. ... ... ..... But nah, nah, b. You keep explaining to me how there is no afterlife with that infinite human cognition of yours, cool.
