When a proud person is in a position of Leadership, he will be like the rulers in the world and will lord himself over those under him. Jesus said in Matthew 20:25-26 says, “whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Pride demands its own way in the flesh and demands personal preference believing its preferences are superior to those of all others, therefore it demands people to change to meet its desires. Pride is hurt when someone else has something it does not, so it is envious of others. Pride is arrogant, it causes damage to the normal structure of relationships in any group and it causes disorder and those individual who do so rarely think they have a problem until they are on the verge of losing it and the remedy must lie with Trusting in God who “Looks at the heart.” Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
