When a white man/woman, Asian, Black, Middle Eastern, Indian from Pakistan/India/even the Caribbean, sell the lands they own here in Canada, they receive no less then a hundred grand minimum for a lot no bigger then 100 square feet. Depending where that lot is, because it can be even higher than 100 grand and less than fifty square feet. Now, why is it that many people on our reserves are settling with a few stinking, measly, pathetic few grand for hundreds, and even thousands of square miles of our land. Are we that uneducated or gullible to believe this is fair? Have we lived in poverty so long that we are willing to give up our whole identity for something that will last no more than a month in our pockets. Have we no Chiefs out there that can tell you we are being screwed, or are they the first ones there in line with their hands out. The government throws out big numbers, but add it up, are you getting your fair share? Or is that money they throw out there (like we are giving you 120 million) going back into the Indian Trust Fund (you know that money they keep from us, same money they are using to pay us for our land claims. What a joke, paying for our lands with our monies.). So where does the majority of it go? Do you think they would sell thousand of miles of land for 5 grand? Eight grand? How about ten or even twenty. Walk up to any one of them and offer 5 for their 60 square foot lands where their homes lie and watch their response. I bet they laugh at you and tell you to get the F@$k off their property. Once you sell it, you are also selling your sovereignty as well, so when the government tells you after its all said and done that you are no longer entitled to rights, (and eventually they will so dont kid yourself), they are right because you sold that too and didnt even realize it. Read the fine print. Understand what you agreed to when you took that pathetic, measly, lousy few grand. If only our nation would unite, you would realize we are worth each, millions upon millions from what they have stolen, hoard and want. But we have those who sell us out for what, trinkets. Is this due to the level of education they taught us in their schools? Or maybe the abuse that they brought to our nation since Residential Schools. Its time that we, ourselves, take responsibility of our destiny, our futures, and the lands we stand on. Too stop letting them treat us like we are stupid, uneducated savages who can easily be manipulated, fooled and are gullible. Choice is yours, and if you choose to make the wrong decision, dont cry when you lost it all and every native here are fighting just for their identities. From sources I know, they say thats coming sooner than you think, and they are pretty reliable too.
