When an Enlisted Navy Sailor makes the list after testing for - TopicsExpress

When an Enlisted Navy Sailor makes the list after testing for promotion to their next higher rank they are immediately frocked (promoted not yet getting paid) for that rank. They do not have a Petty Officer or Chief Petty Officer Education System. Most times shortly after being frocked they are moved so as to be able to more easily transition into their new rank to avoid conflict with previous contemporaries. Those Sailors in the pay rates of E-1 through E-4 are Appentices, E-5 through E-6 are Journeymen, and E-7 through E-9 are Masters. They are no where near being like Army or Marine Corps Enlisted as they do not begin to take on the roll of a Corporal/Specialist/E-4until they become Chief Petty Officer/E-7 which is the rank that they begin to have their Sailors needs addressed after their own as they become Masters literally in an autocracy. The Marines share many similarities to the Army primarily because the Militias owned them first before giving them to the Navy. The Army was the first of all branches of service to address its personnel by full grade of rank which is no longer practiced. The Marines are not their own branch of service in that they fall under the Department of the Army and require the Navy and Army to provide the medical support being that they have none. They do have a Corporals Course. Sergeants Course, Staff NCO Course and Senior Nom-Commissioned Officers Academy that are optional to attend but not to be promoted. But like the Army the Marines put the needs of their subordinates before that of their own. The Air Force is not truly a branch of military service for they most closely resemble that of a civilian corporation. They consider deploying to war equal to supporting such efforts from their home station here in the United States. They call each other Sir and Ma.am but mostly are first name basis with one other regardless of such being considered fraternization. The Army on the other hand of all the services is the largest most well equipped fighting force consisting of the most worthy and best qualified Soldier Warriors. We have a mandatory Non-Commissioned Officer formally structured Education System as the standard is select train promote. If after being selected foe promotion a Soldier fails the Primary Leadership and Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course or Sergeants Major Academy they are removed from the promotion standing list. What makes me a subject matter expert on all branches of our armed forces is the fact that I served in everyone! Yes, hands down the Army is the best of them all!
