When an alternative view of history is couched as a threat to national security, the only logical conclusion is that the orthodox historical narrative still has political currency for the establishment. Its a political currency that is so vital that the power elites are insecure about the possibility of its devaluation. But, if we truly choose not to be intellectually dishonest, we must differentiate between national security and political insecurity. The true threat to our national security is our non-competitive marketplace of ideas (if there was even a marketplace in the first place).
