When an unknown friend’s listening had opened my door to a Jaijaiwanti, notes S Gopala Krishnan on his FB timeline today. He says: Sometimes, a reflection from a listener, an emotional response of a co-listener in an auditorium might open your door to your own musical experience. Such a thing happened this morning. I had a long day yesterday and went to bed very late…, and did not have any idea about how to start this new day. There I have noticed tears in someone’s eyes…Mr.Achal Mehra said on youtube while listening to a Jaijaiwanti (Alap, Jor and Jhala) by Pt Nikhil Banerjee… “Its just a manifestation of divinity, the way he cajoles and massages the notes , especially in the piece between 30 t0 45 mins, I had to put on my sunglasses as tears started rolling down listening to it in my car ....may be I have not heard anything as beautiful as before.” Thanks, my unknown comrade in music for leading me to such a beautiful track. What is your take on it? https://youtube/watch?v=lFm4y9fxbso
