When animal control got the call during last Thursdays freezing weather about this kitten it didnt look good. The officer on duty went to a West Des Moines grocery store to find a scared and bloody kitten who had hitched a ride in a Pepsi truck and likely was crushed by a pallet during the cold ride. Thanks to the officer immediately bringing the cat to our medical team and the help of our staff, Sierra (after Sierra Mist) is now doing much better and is healing from a broken jaw and receiving syringe feedings throughout the day.
