When animals come to the shelter, sometimes they are sick or injured. We created the Help Me Heal fund to help pay for unexpected, expensive treatment or surgery. Among other medical issues, 3 of our cats (Higgins, Clara and Khan, pictured) needed a leg amputated due to injury in 2013...in some shelters, this wouldve deemed the cats unadoptable, but we went ahead with the surgery and all three of these cats have been adopted and are living in their forever homes! In the past 30 days, six of our cats and dogs (Grant, Nixon, Cleo, Callie, Sprinkles and Sebastion) needed dental work, with a grand total of 14 teeth extracted!
