When asked are you righteous?, a lot of Christians give a variety of answers like, No o!, No body is righteous, only God knows who is righteous, Im trying to be etc And they back up their answers with verses like; Isaiah 64:6 KJV But we are all as an unclean thing , and all our righteousnesses are as FILTHY RAGS; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Romans 3:10 KJV As it is written, There is NONE righteous, no, not one. Matthew 19:17 KJV And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is NONE GOOD but one, that is , God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. If carefully studied, its obvious that these would have been correct before Jesus shed his blood. If you are born again and you are asked Are you righteous? Your answer should be a big and bold YES and your backing should be verses like; Romans 10:9-10 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man BELIEVETH unto RIGHTEOUSNESS; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 5:17 KJV For if by one mans offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the GIFT of RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that WE might be MADE the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in him.
