When asked for details on his new Bellator contract, Eddie Alvarez - TopicsExpress

When asked for details on his new Bellator contract, Eddie Alvarez simply replied “I can’t.” Rumors are floating the deal ranges from one fight to two years. “The most that I can say is I’m happy,” said Alvarez to Sherdog. “It was a settlement. Maybe the best part of this is I didn’t get what I wanted, maybe Bellator didn’t get what they wanted, but the fans get what they wanted. That to me, that’s what it’s all about.” Alvarez continued his goal is to be the No. 1 lightweight in the world. The former Bellator lightweight champion had a contract dispute that also involved the UFC. After about nine months of uncertainty, it was announced Alvarez had resigned with Bellator. Bellator 106 is headlined with Alvarez taking on lightweight champion Michael Chandler. At 8-1, Alvarez’s only defeat came from Chandler in what’s considered the best fight in Bellator’s history. The rematch comes from the Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach, CA on November 2.
