When capitalism, a thing we all adore is involved, we cannot - TopicsExpress

When capitalism, a thing we all adore is involved, we cannot afford to be kind, for the very system is built upon inequity, disadvantage and spite. If a man was given a restaurant, food supplies, and cheap labor, what do you suppose his prices should be? Just above cost as to provide for the surrounding community? Into the pockets of those who toil day and night deserving a better wage? Or perhaps, market rate... Obviously. Where do you suppose profits go? To the workers? No. To get better supplies? Perhaps. Into the establishment? Almost never. Profits belong in a bank account. Almost always. In this way all capitalistic endeavors follow a known course ultimately becoming part of the GDP. But there are the profits. For even Landry restaurants (red lobster, Joes Crab Shack, Olive Garden, T-Rex, and on and on...) makes profits, yet where, oh where, do said profits go? Minimum wage workers? No. Building improvements/expansions? Sometimes. Bank accounts? Mostly. Profit always flows to the top, not, as Milton Friedman posited, down. Then, once one considers the efficacy of the very banking model and what is done to said profits both in money multiplication robbing the very savings accounts it provides, and in the application of interest which not enough money exists in circulation to ever payback, and what we have is... The worlds largest pyramid scheme which pits Mano A. Mano in a diabolical countdown to destruction. This is your world somewhat simplified. Suck it in. Simple thoughts by drunk effers. -mike
