When choosing your shampoos and deciding on which product lines to use it is important to understand how shampoos work and why it is important to leave the coat in a natural state before reapplying moisturizers and conditioners. There was a thread earlier on which this subjected was brought up briefly so I decided to post one of the slides from my seminars that gives a brief description of this process. Keep in mind that I personally feel that after shampooing you should ALWAYS follow with a conditioner EXCEPT for certain coats on show days! Conditioners are so important in maintaining healthy skin and this is the largest organ on your dogs body. The one product that I feel is extremely crucial to any grooming routine is the Factor 0 Shampoo - I use this on every dog as my first bath to leave the coat in a natural state allowing me to re deposit any essential vitamins and oils that are necessary for healthy coats. I look forward to any questions or comments :-)
