When considering friends and friendships, i think we should look at it like we look at our clothes~! We never wear just one outfit, all the time, every day~! We have work clothes, play clothes, dinner clothes, church clothes, gardening clothes, stay at home and do nothing clothes, comfortable clothes we can be "fat" in, and even clothes we sleep in~! As a girl i always hoped i would have a best friend. As a woman i realise i need different friends for different things~! I have friends who guide me spiritually, friends i work with, friends who dare me to come out of my shell and have fun, friends with whom i can stay home and do nothing with. I have friends to advise me, and those who always need me to advise or help them. I have friends who challenge me, and friends who soothe me~! I have friends who encourage me to do things that may lead to bad decisions but the bestest of memories, and others shaking their heads and trying to keep me on the straight and narrow - and at different times i will need both of these. And yes, i also have those few very special friends who i can do anything an everything with, who are more like family than friends, who seem to be an extension of me. All in all, i am lucky. I have friends. Thank you, all of you for whatever attribute, skill, or joy you bring to my life~!
