When criminal charges are made against law enforcement officers, - TopicsExpress

When criminal charges are made against law enforcement officers, i.e. public servants, they are convicted less than half as often as the general public and they are sentenced to prison half as often. When they do go to prison, they have shorter sentences. This is way out of whack, exactly the reverse of what it should be. People who are granted legal power over others must be held to a higher standard than the general public.
