When do we go after Putin? Hes is ultimately the cause of the problems with the Ukraine. He probably is the ultimate cause for problems like Iran, Iraq, North Korea. When the former head of the KGB is made president, this is not a good thing by any stretch of the imagination. He will do anything to harm us or our allies. The USSR (because it this day it is still that) has fueled and supported other thugs of the world. The USSR and the rebels harassing the Ukrainians are not separate entities. Its all in the same. Shooting down that plane is an act of war. Now, you will get those anti-American folks talking about things like the the sinking of the Lusitania and other such events. Lusitania was carrying war material. Thats not an excuse. It is a civilian ship. The problem of those events is Monday morning quarterbacking. The Germans knew there was civilians, Americans, on that ship. They sunk it anyway. The Germans made no attempt to stop the vessel or any other peaceful means to diffuse the situation. Move forward to now. Its a good bet Moscow knew the plane was an airliner. They shot it down anyway. If theres an issue, radio the plane. That didnt happen. Airliners have a Information Friend or Foe transmitters . They knew what it was. In doubt, send up an interceptor aircraft and see what it was. To make things worse, the USSR goes and scarfs up the black box. What are you hiding, Moscow?..
