When does the miracle of a human life begin? Does it begin the day when the egg is impregnated in the womb and starts rapidly splitting into two cells, four cells, eight, sixteen, and more...? Does it begin the day when our tiny body has enough cells to form a heart? The same heart that beats the same beats that only stop some distant day, many, many years later. Does it begin when our heart powers our tiny brain and it is strong enough to power our tiny hands, and we start to make our first, twitchy movements? The same brain and hands that we use to create everything great through all our life. Does it begin the day our brain has enough subtle muscle control that it can draw the first smile on our face, or our first frown on our face, while we are still in the womb? The same smiles and the same frowns that draw others closer to us, or further away from us, all through our life. Of all the people you know and love, and have hugged and have smiled to - when did the miracle of each of their lives begin?
