When families like ours have children with serious medical conditions you dont usually get to go on big vacations, send your children to summer camps, buy those expensive shoes or clothes that your children beg for because My friends all have those (insert name brand) shoes. You just dont, the extra moneys not there for that and its fine. You survive. You go about your business and pray that one day there will be a cure for your childs disease, a way for your income to increase so that you may give to others in a BIG way that your heart so desires to do, and that your children will realize, down the road, that you sacrificed and did without to simple love them to the best of your abilities. And until that day, I am thankful for individuals who have crossed our paths and have selflessly sacrificed so that our family may go to camps like Camp Quality. They have had a vacation in previous years and memories have been made because of organizations like Make-A-Wish and Major Dons Army. We have had groceries given to us by TNK Childrens Foundation and others, had gas put in our cars, and many other selfless acts of kindness have occurred for which we will never be able to repay. We shall remain a simple, yet humble family. Our needs are many, but our blessings are way more. We know how sweet it feels to give but OH do we know how blessed we are to receive. Thankful, so thankful.
