When finally homeward bound I am. When finally homeward bound I - TopicsExpress

When finally homeward bound I am. When finally homeward bound I am And I can feel it in my bones, I know There’ll be no fear in me, no regrets Too. But I’ll admit not really with keen Anticipation would I be for there’s more I’d like do, some more, like looking at sunrise In the early morn, at sunset before the end Of the day. And I’d like to feel the touch Of rain on my bare head, down mine eyes Then unto my mouth, and I’ll taste with my Taste buds, water as pure as can be, and mixed With my sweat, can beat the best of limewater As yet concocted. Ah dearest, my imagination is running wild, On what more I’d like to do, and more - Like another walk at the park with you – yes, Only the two of us, and feel with our bare feet The grass wet still with the morning dews From an early December mist, then we see Young lovers walking, holding hands - and little Children too, skipping, and singing gayly - And I’ll remember our own walks in the park, holding hand in hand, with dream in our eyes Of life ahead of us, then I see the children, Our very own lovely children, walking with us, And playing in the same park many a Sunday morn. Ah my dearest, when homeward bound I feel I finally am, I’d like to stretch an imagined pair Of wings and fly high up among the clouds, free At last I may think, but when I look back, down Below, I may want to come back, and remember More and more, the good times and the bad which We had gone through my love, and for all these, I thank you, my Lord. And if the time comes for me to be homeward Bound - there’ll be no regrets really, and I just hope, I’ll not look back - I still may change my mind, and reminisce some more.
