When gangster Danny Greene was killed on October 6th 1977, his death ultimately led to the demise of organized crime in Cleveland, Ohio. Kill the Irishman is a touching movie that chronicles Greenes rise and fall in Clevelands underworld. This movie was in development hell for over ten years, and producer Tommy Reid poured his heart and soul (as well as his personal fortune!!!) into getting Danny Greenes story onto the big screen. Kill the Irishman is one of my favourite crime movies. I hold this film up high in the ranks with many of my favourite crime movies - such as The Godfather (trilogy), Goodfellas, Scarface. Casino, The Departed, etc. I highly recommend this movie. It stars an ensemble cast of highly respected actors, including Ray Stevenson (The Punisher: War Zone and Marvels Thor), Vincent DOnofrio (Full Metal Jacket and Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter, The Dead Zone and Pulp Fiction), Val Kilmer (Top Gun, Heat and Batman Forever), Vinnie Jones (Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Gone in 60 Seconds), Robert Davi (Raw Deal and The Goonies), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas and Law & Order), Tony Darrow (Goodfellas), Mike Starr (Goodfellas and Millers Crossing), Bob Gunton (The Shawshank Redemption and Patch Adams), and Linda Cardellini (from the television series ER). #DannyGreene #ClevelandOhio #KilltheIrishman #TommyReid #Crime #OrganizedCrime #Sicilainmafia #Gangster #Mafia #Godfather #RossKemp #RossKemponGangs #Scarface #TheWolfofWallStreet #MarioPuzo #MartinScorsese #FrancisFordCoppola #AlPacino #RobertDeNiro #TheDeparted #AlCapone #IrishMafia #Gambinocrimefamily #Gambino #JohnGotti #SammytheBull #GenovesecrimeFamily #Genovese #JohnNardi #RayFerritto
