When huge talents like Robin Williams and Phillip Seymour Hoffman succumb to depression and addiction it makes us wonder how us mere mortals stand a chance. Mental illness/addiction is the great equalizer. It does not distinguish race, social or economic status or care about our obsession with celebrity Until we remove the stigma and fear attached to addiction and mental illness and encourage and support our loved ones to seek help we will continue to mourn these unbearable and preventable deaths. RIP
