When in doubt train .. I could be having the worst day & yet when I get into the gym its amazing how my frame of mind completely changes. When we exercise our bodies release certain mood enhancing endorphins. Endorphins trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine. The feelings of euphoria can contribute to feeling good about yourself & your life. Exercise boosts the brains feel-good endorphins, releases muscle tension, improves sleep, and reduces the levels of the stress hormone cortisol. All of these changes in our mind and body can improve symptoms like sadness, anxiety, irritability, stress, fatigue, anger, self-doubt, helplessness and hopelessness that are associated with depression. You dont need a gym membership, go for a walk find a park or a bench & hit some step ups, dips, squats!!!! Get moving & get active you will be surprised how not only your body but your mind will reward you for it! Chloe Maxwell
