When it comes down to it, I simply want a woman whos remarkably confident, but constantly in need of assurance. A woman whos disarmingly armed intellectually, but values nothing more than sincerity and kindness. Who is traffic-stoppingly gorgeous, but also possesses the perfect genetic cocktail to compliment my rural handsomeness and contradict my many aesthetic flaws (as wed want our children to be as beautiful as possible). Speaking of children, she has to want five, understand that we responsibly should only have one (two), oh, and accept that Im forever burdened with more promise than pragmatism and will be constantly horrified Ill ruin our darlings in the poetic way the world ruins us all. Shell have to refer to herself as my wife, but only in certain circles, and understand that theres nothing more perfect than the words I admire you carved into wood with an old knife. Oh, shell also have to be financially-stable, because Im forever destined to be my fathers son and such. Shell have to want to rewatch The Wire (season two included) every few weeks or so, and understand that Breaking Bad is just pretty solid. She has to make David Foster Wallace references at dinner parties with accountants who drive ugly cars and have strange haircuts. A woman whos anxious and honest in bed and crude and revealing when she sings [she has to be a wonderful singer as well (and cover mostly Deer Tick songs)]. I need her to love my mother and need me to love hers and always get the drunkest when were out to charity galas. Ah, I guess all the good ones are taken.
