When it comes to public figures, the most underrated Indian American women (or American women with Indian parents) are the previous Miss America Nina Davuluri and the enormously talented Mindy Kaling, a truly self-made woman in Hollywood..who is extraordinarily successful in writing, acting and producing her own shows. These are rare women from Indian-ethnic backgrounds who have done so well in highly competitive Hollywood and the world of beauty.. *However, no top Indian movie or TV star currently looks like them…and not stating the obvious (!) wonder why they are not adored.. people generally glorify “successful” celebrities!
