When it comes to sports I am a huge believer in things happen for a reason, and I do believe that sometimes there is something behind everything that happens. As many of you know I was in a specialized unit for many of my years in my occupation. In that unit I was assigned a unit number 841 that has always been very near and dear to my heart mainly due to all the hours, trials, and tribulations spent in that unit with all of my coworkers at my side each and every day. It truly has always meant something very special to me. Today I got my final email from Spartan reference to all the race details. Because I am running in all three races I received one bib number that remains the same all weekend. I am absolutely floored and so excited to see that the number bestowed upon me is in fact 841. It is precisely the kind of thing I will use as motivation. I will think of my first my race with my brothers as a Duke while I was still 841. This may seem silly to some but those guys in that unit reading this will completely understand. This happened for a reason and that reason is too inspire and motivate me to this level this weekend. With my brothers in my heart and soul and on my bib number we got this once again boys!
