What good is change if, when you hear the multitudes cry, but then you turn your back and walk away? What we all need to work on, no matter what country, no matter what system is Greed, or how to make it go away. A greedy world will destroy itself and destruction does not care what the political system is or what the economic system is. Social Security benefits are misunderstood. People on all forms of Social Security can earn money. On Regular Social Security retirement you have to pay taxes on earned income when you reach a certain amount. On Disability you can earn almost $10,000 per year and still receive benefits. Before age 66 I could also get an earned income credit when I worked and paid Taxes. I lost $150,000 because of harassment on the job and the misconception of some mindless controller who thought that if I received Disability payments that I could not earn income. I also had to go into foreclosure on a house because people did not sell things and make money from them. The greed of those who are stupid and hold others down makes me want to vomit all over them. Maybe it was my ex-husband and my brother ... they both thought the women in their lives should be able to raise a family and run a household on $150.00 per week. Stupidity can be found in every echelon of financial status. People on SSI, those who have not worked for an employer AND paid into Social Security, can only draw money from the General Fund. They get very little money AND they can earn very little money without losing their benefits. Generally speaking people on SSI are also receiving food stamps and get State aid! Someone confused SSI with Disability ... can you imagine being married to a foreign dignitary and drawing SSI benefits from the U.S. Government. Dont confuse me with the one on SSI. For the record, when a person reaches full retirement age, Disability turns into Social Security Retirement. Im no longer on Disability, even though I my physical disability still exists ... Im 66 years old ... now Im on Social Security retirement. The stupidity of those who control cost people like me, that is people who can see through their stupidity, a lot of money, opportunity and happiness. Because of stupidity and sub standard wages, I lost about $500,000 in 30 years! That does not include lost opportunity, recognition and affection. It is proper to hate Some things and some people. I hope no one says that something good will come from those 140 children being killed in Pakistan. There are some situations that are so bad that nothing good can come from them! MERRY CHRISTMAS ...
