When it’s time to make a significant investment in your health - TopicsExpress

When it’s time to make a significant investment in your health and well-being – such as getting dental implants to replace your failing teeth - it’s wise to look at every aspect of the process. If you consider the experience of the specialists who perform the procedure, the quality of the materials used, and the nature of the treatment process itself, we think you’ll agree that ClearChoice offers significant advantages. You’ve probably heard that, in most cases, we can provide you with new teeth in a one-day procedure.* Did you ever wonder how we make that happen? Typical Implant Treatment Timeline It all begins on your first visit to ClearChoice, where you’ll receive a complimentary consultation, including a free 3-D CAT scan. This cutting-edge technology reveals your vital bone, tooth and tissue structure in height, width and depth. Using this detailed picture of what’s happening inside your mouth, our specialists can design an effective treatment program, tailored just for you. This diagnostic information also enables us to give you a firm, fixed price for the entire tooth replacement procedure – with every visit and treatment included! The next step is up to you: When you’re ready to go ahead with treatment, we’ll schedule a complete dental assessment at our office. This includes a review of your scans, a thorough periodontal (gum) examination, a series of photographs and impressions, detailed charting. There is also time to answer any questions you may have about any aspect of the procedure. The exam can take a couple of hours, and we don’t rush it. Once we’re satisfied with the treatment plan and all of your concerns have been addressed, then we will schedule your implant surgery – usually within two or three weeks. If you’re currently wearing dentures, we may suggest you come in prior to the procedure for a “try-in” of your new teeth. When you arrive on the morning of your procedure day, our caring staff will help you get comfortable and relaxed. The first specialist you’ll see will be the oral surgeon, who will perform tooth extractions and then place the implants in your jaw. This procedure is usually done under local anesthesia. Next, you will see our prosthodontist, a specialist who will make impressions (models) of your jaw, so that our in-house lab can start making your teeth. After that, you’ll rest comfortably for a few hours while our lab finishes your new teeth. A little later in the day, the prosthodontist will carefully place your new teeth on the implants. The prosthodontist will make any final adjustments needed to ensure you get a proper bite and a beautiful smile. We’ll make certain you understand how to care for your new teeth following the procedure, and send you home with some medication to manage any discomfort you may have. After only a day or so, many people are ready to resume their full schedule of activities. Post-Procedure Treatment But even after the surgical procedure, we’re still involved in your care. To make sure everything is going according to plan, we will schedule follow-up examinations 10 days, six weeks and three months after surgery. Finally, about six months after your procedure, we’ll schedule an appointment to have your final new teeth placed. By then, your gums will be completely healed and the implants fully integrated into your jawbone. Your permanent replacement teeth are made with an invisible titanium support structure which gives them the durability to last a lifetime. They will be adjusted to fit perfectly (and permanently) on your healed gums. If your new teeth ever need repair or readjustment, you can come back to any ClearChoice dental center nationwide. Having all of the dental specialists, lab technology and diagnostic equipment under one roof lets us expedite your treatment without compromising the quality of your care. We don’t take any shortcuts – we just cut out the waiting. That’s how we can offer tooth replacement in a single day. But remember, our commitment to you doesn’t stop when the implant procedure’s done - we’re with you every step of the way. *Qualified patients can have their procedure in one day after initial work up without additional bone graft surgery. Results may vary in individual cases.
