When just saying “I love you” is not enough (From the Hermitage of Mary – March 26th, 2014) It is never enough to simply mouth the words – “I love you” when your heart is far from the Love that is GOD’s Love – the Love (agape’) that cares as GOD cares for each of us in fellowship with one another – the Love that demonstrates His Love toward us sinners – the death upon the Cross kind of Love! HE remains Present – yet, HE does not audibly speak to us – to our physical ears – HE is Present in Perfect Love – showing us His Love in every category of our being and becoming in Christ! GOD Loves us dear one – GOD Loves us from the Cloud of Unknowing in the WAY He has revealed Himself as the Perfect Love that He Is. He is the Love that casts out fear, when we draw close to our Lover and Beloved One. He is that Love that never fails! (cf, I Corinthians 13: 4-13) Listen again: Love suffereth long, [and] is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil; rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall be done away; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall be done away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known. But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love. It you want to define WHO GOD IS – then ponder this description of Love. Love is manifesting the Person of GOD – the Triune Essence of GOD – and yet, we have Justice and His Attributes that neither add nor diminish this Love. LOVE never fails dear one – but when there are prophecies, they will cease, etc – and this means that all these things necessary in a physical universe that is passing away – these things will someday become un-necessary – BUT, Love will never ever fail (pass away) dear soul – never! Love demonstrates to you and me WHO GOD IS – forever. We speak now of Faith, Hope and Love. Faith and Hope will someday no longer BE necessary, when we are face to face with GOD through Christ Jesus in Eternity – but, LOVE, as GOD is LOVE – Love never fails. It never will “come to pass.” He remains forever – He does not “let us go” – He does not “throw us away” – He does not say “no more fellowship with you – you piece of trash” – No He does not say any of these things – He LOVES – and beloved, you and I are CALLED to forever and ever LIVE in this LOVE that GOD IS! Living in Love means to really BE and BECOME this LIVING IN GOD ALONE in His Perfect Love! May Jesus Christ be honored and glorified in His Word for all Eternity! Abba Anthony the repentant sinner
