When king Josiah of Judah heard the Book of the Law being read, he tore his clothes in dismay. He knows that the LORD is angry with them because their ancestors have not done what the Book of the Law says must be done. -2 Kings 22:11,13 The Law of God should be discovered again. The law of the LORD is perfect reviving the soul. (Psalms 19:7) Now we know that everything in the Law applies to those under the Law, in order to stop all human excuses and bring the whole world under Gods judgement. For no one is put right in Gods sight by doing what the Law requires; what the Law does is to make us know that we have sinned. (Romans 3:19-20) So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. (Galatians 3:24) “Before I can preach love, mercy, and grace, I must preach sin, Law, and judgment.” ~John Wesley (1703 - 1791)
