When leaders indulge themselves in abuse of office, when they resort to innuendo and insinuation, to libel, scandal, and suspicion, then our democratic society is outraged, and democracy is baffled. It has no apparatus to deal with the corrupt, the liar, the lout.... Ive no idea what happens when you get into politics especially in Africa. People you could trust become so untrustworthy that you cant dare give them a signed blank cheque. Politics changes people. CDF is Money and Money is absolute Power. If Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely is anything to go by, and money is absolute power, I would be spot on to infer that M.Ps are absolutely corrupt because of the power of CDF. Methinks that we fight for the office of the ombudsman in every constituency to investigate the devolved government at that level.
