When little Noah Williams was born, his mum never expected to - TopicsExpress

When little Noah Williams was born, his mum never expected to spend his first 3 months in Yorkhill Hospital fighting for his life. Noah was born with Merconium Aspiration Syndrome, which meant that his lungs were unable to transport oxygen round his body and to his brain. He was placed on an ECMO machine but unfortunately developed a brain bleed - which could have cost him his ability to walk. Noahs mum said “when your baby is fighting for life, it’s like the rest of the world doesnt even exist. You live in your own bubble, and the ward becomes your life.” Thanks to the exceptional staff and equipment at Yorkhill, Noah and his mum are now at home where he is now able to walk and is a happy wee toddler. Thank you!
