When my Amazon Music Player told me it had updated to include Prime Stations, I didnt pay much attention. But last night I was poking at it and thought Id see what the deal was. Apparently you just go in, choose a genre (Pop, Rock, Indie, Christian, etc), choose a subgenre (Rock -> Classic Rock, Power Rock, 60s, 70s, 80s) and it shuffles through Prime music to basically become a radio station. If you thumbs-up a song, it adjusts to play more like it. If you thumbs-down, it skips the song and cuts out similar songs. I think its basically like Pandora or Spotify, but Ive never used either of those. Other than occasionally buffering/skipping at the beginning of songs, its been really good. Plus it was the first time Ive ever experienced hearing Josh Ritter on the radio. Unexpected Josh between random songs is like magic. ;)
