When nothing seems to be happening, something IS happening! Have you ever experienced this feeling? You pray, give thanks, and wait and wait, only to feel that God has totally forgotten you? “Wait for the Lord, and He WILL deliver you.” Proverbs 20:22. This scripture is our answer. His Word states that He will NOT break His promises. Therefore He WILL answer our prayers. Amen! “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentence….Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation.” 2 peter 3: 9,15. (Salvation means God‘s continuous work in our lives, a beautiful process.) Friends, can you see how God is working in your situation? When we look around and see nothing happening in our lives, something IS happening. The Holy Spirit is continuously working whether we can see it or not. Praise God! We don’t need to “rush” or help God with answers to our prayers, but instead relax and wait, understanding that He sees the big picture and is an all-knowing Heavenly Father. God ALWAYS comes through with what’s best for us. His timing is always perfect. “I declare that God has a great plan for my life. He is directing my steps. And even though I may not always understand how, I know my situation is not a surprise to God. He will work out every detail to my advantage. In his perfect timing, everything will turn out right. This is my declaration.” Joel Osteen. This is a beautiful, powerful declaration from Joel Osteen that we need to confess with our lips daily to strengthen our faith during the waiting period. Yes, He is directing our steps and working out every detail for our advantage! Why? Because we are His children and He loves us! Today, instead of looking at the clock or calendar with discouragement, let’s rejoiced that God is at work in our lives, and it will be a beautiful plan. Down the road of life, we will look back and see His timing was perfect, not early or late. I’m so thankful that God doesn’t answer my prayers when I want them answered, but instead answers when the time is perfect. So when you feel nothing is happening, rejoice because something IS happening! Amen!
