When one does anything, whether parent, custodian of electoral - TopicsExpress

When one does anything, whether parent, custodian of electoral directions, or for personal development, one has to look at consequences. There are plenty of big ideas around. One of course has to integrate those ideas into a big picture. Here is an idea that tends to sweep away the rest. The spectre of big government, the spectre of 170-odd politicians deciding the fate of a nation, whilst appealing to their constituencies to preserve their existence, not respect for facts. They dont have time to teach you. Put that discretion into the market place, so everyone is accountable. Dont like the standards of value? Take your complaint to a court. Insist on reasonably-priced court discourse; not statutory imposition where no one dare go to a court. Only one party is consistent with that direction, even if it might not know it yet. Thats the ACT Party. Libertarianism is that evolving system of political discourse. It is the future. You need only point us in the right direction, so politics can evolve. At the moment, we have the wrong standard, and so we are cynically entertained, or dismayed, by the wrong big ideas. Here is a sampler of what becomes of bad big ideas. The failed emissions scheme was one. Labour Party, Greens Party and Mana are reactionaries who will not offer sustainable ideas. Their ideas serve their leaders. They are cheap populists. Fortunately, ACT Party appears rid of that conservative element, or nearly so. I can live with 3 strikes on burglary in a certain context. But the other parties, have fundamental big idea gone wrong. They are going in profoundly the wrong direction. m.dailytelegraph.au/news/nsw/bureaucrat-louise-sylvan-paid-300000-a-year-to-do-nothing-at-the-australian-national-preventative-health-agency-which-closed-in-june/story-fni0cx12-1227009330784?nk=cf9044e869cd272d18601f3aefdc4489
